In the early hours of March 13, 1964, 28-year-old Kitty Genovese was stabbed outside the apartment building across the street from where she lived in New York City. The attack was witnessed or heard by many people who lived around the area. The witnesses either ignored the noises of the attack or did not recognize it as a serious problem. One of the witnesses later said “I didn’t want to get involved.” Experts today refer to the bystander effect of not being willing to get involved in life threatening situations as Genovese Syndrome.
We CANNOT be bystanders with the abortion issue.
